My August reads, I couldn’t believe how much I read in August when I pulled the stack for the review. 6 Books, I think that is a record for me. but its fair to say I did was the first week August on vacations I had quit some time to read. As well since I’ve been on vacation I notice how much less I actually give myself time for myself. So, instead of always work work work, I decided to read a bit more and do more for me. Its finding the right balance, and right now I need more reading and relaxing. This probably will change again soon, but do what is best for you and your soul.

So lets start with the book review.

Then she was gone, when I read the back of the book I was intrigued. This is not a book I usually read. It is about a kid that disappears while on her way to the library. The police can’t find a lead. The parents are two siblings hitting it hard, the family breaks apart. 10 years after her disappearance the mom meets someone new. The person has a daughter who looks extremely similar to her lost daughter. She finds out that there are a lot of similarities between the life from the new boyfriend and her family is. She is finding clues that might help her finally finding out what happen to her daughter. The ending is definitely not what I expected. 

I would say at the beginning the book was a bit slow but it half way through I couldn’t out it away anymore. It was a pager turner.

Jill Mansell is one of my favorite Author, but I have to say that with tis book I had some problems finding it interesting. I started the book three times and twice I put it back after a couple pages reading. I just couldn’t get the hang of it. But then I didn’t have a book to read anymore, so this book it was. It got actually quit good a quarter in. The story is about a woman and her daughter, they living life as it comes. The daughter is pretty good in school, only A’s. She is aspiring musician and works at a bartender. Until she gets hit while driving her motorcycle to work. She breaks her leg, looses her two boyfriends, yes you heard me correct, two and she looses her apartment as well while she is in the hospital. The woman who hit her just found out that her husband is leaving her fo another woman. She was distraught while she was driving. She offers them a place to stay with her rent free for the first month. A lt happens while she and he daughter are staying with the women. In short she is meeting a nice men but they never get it right to date each other, the kid is starting a relationship with the women ex-husband, the women finds a job, her first in her life, and finds love again.

I love a good Island booking the summer time. Makes me feel like on vacation somewhere on the beach on an island. This book is placed on Block Island, a disgraced author with nowhere to go takes the offer from a friend to look after the house on Block Island. He hopes he stays anonymous there. he for sure does not plan to fall in love with the local woman who owns a bakery and has a daughter. His neighbor has a secret as well. There are a lot of secret on the small island. Everything goes fine until his father a high praise Author is set to do a reading in the local bookstore and his mother decided to visit him unplanned, she just shows up with his son. 

This book was fun to read and you couldn’t wait to see what happen next.

When I saw this book from one of my favorite Author I couldn’t wait to start reading this book. This book is funny and has some of the ohhh my gosh moments I love. Emma wakes up from a coma and finds out her boyfriend and her best friend have started to date. If that is not bad, they are living together now too, in the same apartment she is sharing with her best friend. Ok they are not best friends anymore. Her physical therapist recommends an apartment, he did not mention that he owns it. She is trying to find work but no one what to hire her, since she is not so good on her feet anymore. She still works super part time in a dog day care. An opportunity arise for her she can’t say no to, but might have to since she does not has the money for it. during her recovery she falls in love with her physical therapist. But his Niece is Emma’s frenemies since high school. can they make it work together? 

This is definitely a fun book to read ad a page turner. I was not disappointed from this book.

Yes you probably will thing what is she reading a winter book in the middle of summer. To my defense I haven’t read this book yet, who cares what season it is. Mae is with her family and her family best friend and some other friends at the cabin where they are staying every year during the Christmas time. When they leaving the cabin at the end of they stay, they found out that the other family who owns the cabin is going sell it. The upkeep is too much. Mae wishes that the universe would shower what being happy means. The next thing she knows is waking up on the plane to the cabin. It is as if the last week never existed, since happen twice more. She is trying to change what happen during the family trip. Something must have worked, the cabin stays within the friends group, she finds love and the families are all happy. 

This book was romantic and funny to read.

Ok if you like revenge books this is one for you, it does have a love Storie in it too. don’t you worry. Letty is on the run with her 4 year old niece. She found her sister dead in the sisters apartment. She promised her sister if ever something happen to her she has to take her niece and go far away. This is exactly what she is doing, she is packing the bare minimum and a go back from her sister with some cash in it and leaves the city. she travels south to Forida and finds a new home in a little Inn. The owner of the Inn is taking them in right away offers them board and a job. He son is totally against it, but he is a cop. Letty is a bit afraid of that. But it comes out what her sister told her about the past month and the father of her niece is all lies.The father is coming after Letty but she befriended the Inns son, they are a bit more then friends, sparks are flying. Lets jut say the to believed father from her niece is a big crook in the housing industry. The FBI is on his radar. He hires a hit man to get rid of Letty. So it is interesting and as more you readers more information are popping up.

I loved reading this book, it was fun and interesting.
