My March reads
Hi, here comes my March reads. I am a couple days late with this and I’m sorry. Time got away from me.
I am happy to say I finished 5 books in March. That makes me super happy, because I felt like I didn’t have time to read at all.
So without any further delay, here are the books I read.
Sometimes when I’m at barnes and Nobel they have a $5 book with any purchase from they cafe. This book was one of them. I read the back and thought that looks interesting.
This book is placed in Vermont at a private school for talented kids. When the school opened the very first time, the wife and daughter from the Inventor of the school got kidnapped. The police couldn’t never find out what happen. Going to the current year, a girl gets admitted who is fascinated with the case and want to become a detective. She starts to investigating it while in the school. A lot of things happen during her time in the school. Her housemate get found dead in one of the tunnels, another housemate runs away after she gets accused of having something to do with the dead person. She later is found in the basement.
This book is from the beginning to the end interesting, I think I read it within 3 days. The book ends with an open end. So of course I had to get me the next one. It’s like a good TV show, you have to watch the next episode to know what more.
The second book in the trilogy.
Stevie is back home and is trying to figure out how she can make it back to the private school. She made a deal with one of her housemates dad. He has a lot of influence and within 24 hours she is back in the school. She is focused to solve the case. There are riddles she can not figure out. I was thinking about them too but couldn’t not make sense out of them and usually I’m pretty good at riddles. The good thing about this book is that it solves some of the riddles and crimes that happen in the first book but never been solved then. Not everyone is saying the truth in this book. It is a page turner for sure. I just want to know what happen actually.
Lets move on to book three.
The third and last book.
Please let it have all the answers to my questions. In this installment. Steveis partnered up with a professor from the college in the town close to the school. The professor is studying the case, she published books about it. She is currently on a new book and said she has new information. Stevie is doing the grunt run for her. Since the professor is not allowed to be on the property of the private school. Stevie is getting newer to all her questions. Unfortunate the professor dies in a house fire, without telling Stevie what the new information is. Can Stevie figure out the cold case and all the new incidents that happen on campus?
I can tell you so much. I was statified with the ending of the book, but also never expected it.
After reading three new books from an Author I never read a book before, I thought it’s time to go back to Hanna Swanson and her bakery.
Hannah has the trial hanging over her. She is nervous about it. She is charged with manslaughter after she hit a person with her car and he died. The trial date is set. She is nervous. When she arrives at the courthouse with her lawyer, the clerk is telling them to wait by the judge champers, he wants to talk to them. The judge is not a happy judge. Hannah does not know what to think about this. She is alone in the room, she hears from the judges chamber a loud sound. She decided to knock on the door, after threes o answer she enters the chamber and find the judge dead behind his desk.
Now she has to figure out what does it mean for her trial, but also who killed the judge? Let the investigation begin.
David Baldacci is definitely now one of my favorite author. His books are a page turner and you try to figure who/what/why while reading the book. But let me tell you, you will never figure it out until you read the last sentence.
This book started a bit of trouble some for me, therefore so many military codes in it, that I got a bit lost at times. But the ore you read the better it got. So the book starts with a prison break. His brothers prison break. From the previous book we know he is sentence for live in a max military prison. He only sees the sun for an hour a day.
Now the question is why did his brother broke out of jail? At first John wasn’t allowed to investigate the incident but then some higher ups told him he had to do it. Somehow in this book there is a romance as well. It is interesting, is the women telling the truth? is she who she is she is? This book definitely had me keep reading and always when I thought I figured it out, there came a twist.
Is his brother really guilty for the crime he was sent to prison too? John finally herd for what his brother was sent to prison and also saw a new side from his father.
This book was so good I read it in 3 days. And let me tell you there are a lot of pages.
