During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I heard a lot of Bloggers talking about the Barefoot Dreams blankets and Cardigans. I never heard of it before, so I thought let’s see what the hype is all about. When I looked Barefoot Dreams up on the Nordstrom Website I couldn’t believe my eyes. That is a lot of money for a blanket or Cardigan. Especially if it’s made 100% of Polyester and we all know Polyester is a synthetic fiber. But with being 100% polyester it also means it’s going to be soft and warm. Ok enough about the attribute of Polyester (you can read more about it in the material info page)

So after I saw the price I immediately went on Amazon and checked the price there. You know sometimes you just can find items cheaper on Amazon. I was surprised to see this wasn’t the case. On the Nordstrom website I saw an cardigan from Barefoot Dreams new marked down (not from the nsale) and I thought ok, this is 40% marked down. Let’s buy it and see what it’s all about. Even though I thought twice before I clicked on the check out button, $67 is still quit a lot of money. I got me the cardigan in my usual size xs/s and it is purple. I think its a nice fall color.

When I received the cardigan I was pleasently surprised. It felt soft and ready to bundle up. Only problem we were in a heat wave here in the Bay Area. I don’t think 90 degrees is the right time to wear this cardigan. The reason for why I bought this cardigan as well is, I heard from Bloggers that certain Brands rarely go on sale. Barefoot Dreams is one of those.

I was really happy with the cardigan, especially when it was cool here and I could wear it one evening. I have to say, most of the times I’m cold. I have a really low blood pressure. So even in the summertime in the evening in the house I’m under a blanket or wear socks. As long my upper body and my feet are warm I’m fine. Long story short, I was wearing this cardigan with a tank top underneath in the evening and I was warm the whole time. I didn’t get cold, I didn’t need a blanket. I was perfectly happy. When I told my husband how much I love the cardigan and that I saw a lounge set online I’m thinking to buy but just wasn’t sure because it is quit expensive and for just wearing at home, I don’t know if I want to spend so much money. My husband offered to buy me the lounge set. Even though he offered I wasn’t 100% convinced.

I ordered the pants in a small and the top in a medium. I decided to go up a size in the top because most of the time the sleeves are too short for me. When the items arrived I was surprised the material was different then the cardigan. (Should have looked at the produce review online first, maybe) The top is 75% nylon and 25% rayon, and the pants is 71% nylon and 29% viscose. So the set wasn’t advertised as being a set, but I thought same color same brand it should work. You can see a different in the top and the bottom. The top is more like the cardigan; soft and fluffy, whereas the pant has more of a smooth look. It still works together. Though after trying on I decided the top is kinda.. I don’t know.. something didn’t feel right. When I asked my husband for his opinion he said It looks good. I decided to order a size smaller in the top just to see the difference. I’m still waiting that the top is arriving.

In the end on the last day of the sale I ordered me the lounge set, a blanket and socks. Socks I can never have enough and I know I wear them a lot. I’m obsessed with blankets, I have quit a lot. But again I have some blankets that does not keep me really warm and if it’s get cold, I need a good blanket.

You can see I did not unpack the socks and blanket yet. Just because they look so nice in their package. I know I’m weird in some ways. When it gets cold I’m going to unwrap it but not before then.

In the end…Is it worth to spend this amount of money on the Barefoot dreams products?? This is totally entierly up to you. I will give you my honest opinion.. and say, maybe. Am I happy with my products? Definitely. But can I find some super soft cardigans, blankets, socks somewhere else cheaper. 100% yes. So it is really up to you, if you want to be part of the hype or not. If you have sensitive skin and have problems of getting cold easy, I would recommend these items. Because thy keep you nice and warm. I can not say the same with other soft, fluffy blankets or cardigans I have.

These are the Barefoot Dreams Items I bought. And I have to say I’m still not sure if I’m going to keep the lounge set. Something doesn’t feel right, let’s wait and see. I’ll keep you updated on what my decision is going to be as soon as the top is coming in the mail. The blanket, socks and cardigans are a keeper for sure.

Update on the products:

I use the blanket every night and I’m in love with it. It’s so cozy, comfy and warm. Usually when I’m on the couch at night I’ve been lying under 2 blankets to keep warm. But with this one, no need. I also bought me two more from Nordstrom Rack. They were way cheaper over there then what I paid for. They are great gift ideas as well.

The sock, what ca I say. They keep my feet nice warm without sweating them. They are super soft and feels great on your skin. If I find them on sale I would defently buy me another pair. You can never have enough cozy socks.

The cardigan is my absolute favorite. In the morning after getting up I throw it over my Pjs and I’m staying warm. You don’t get immediately cold when getting out of bed. I washed the cardigan twice already. It hold up great in the washer and dryer. It didn’t shrink or loosed it shape. But I don’t were it outside of the house. Somehow it doesn’t look right to wear it outside. I don’t know, somehow the look of it doesn’t make me feel good about it wearing it outside. Not even to run some errands. So it’s really up to you how you want to wear it and if the price is right for it.

The lounge set. What can I say. I got the sweater in a small and it fit great. The pants are perfect. Super cozy, long, soft and warm. Just love them. The sweater on the other hand. I wore it ones and it looked as if I have it for years already. It was peeling so bad on the arms and the side. I’m not happy at all with it. So I returned it but kept the pants. I’m just going to wear the pants with different top. The negative to that is I don’y have a cute matching lounge outfit anymore, but I just didn’t want to try another sweater, because I have the feeling it will be the same. The pats did stretch out a bit during the day. But that is fine its not bothering me at all.

This is my update on the Barefoot dreams product. Some are great and some just didn’t make the cut.
